Shirtspotting: Holebrain, Threadless, Randr

Yay, Shirtspotting is back!  Take a look at these fine cotton beauties: Most of the time, character tees don’t particularly appeal to me, but I must admit I have a special soft spot for the critters from Holebrain .  There is just something refreshing about the minimalistic two/one color palettes consistent throughout all of the designs.  My favorite thing about “ Finger “, though, is the fine texturing mimicking fingertip whorls.  They provide just the right amount of contrast to the flat, blocky shapes forming the little guy’s awe-inspiring beard and dapper hat.  There’s also something quite endearing about the goofiness of the art — I’m pretty sure Holebrain’s designer and printer, Will, is the only person who take a concept as weird as a fingertip wearing a massive beard and spin it into an excellent, ultra-wearable tee.  It’s shirts like these that make me wish mint didn’t look so bad on me! Buy It: £12 at Holebrain sh I try to avoid spotlighting Threadless tees in Shirtspotting, if only because everyone and their mother know about Threadless by now, but I couldn’t help myself when I noticed that the wonderfully weird “ And How Are You Feeling Today?
